Novotel

The hotel we stayed at is the Novotel at the corner of W 52nd St and Broadway. This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. The lobby is on the 7th floor. There is also a terrace on that floor to take in some of the sights of New York City.

This is what you see when you walk out onto the terrace. It is looking towards Times Square.

Even though you can't see it in the above picture, there is a set of stairs at the deck level. This picture is from standing at the top of the stairs, still looking towards Times Square.

From the same point in the above picture, this is looking down at Broadway. As you can see, Mamma Mia, which I saw a few years ago, is only across the street from the hotel.
Oh, that street is Broadway!

Walking down the steps to the side railing over W 51st St, Times Sqaure is a little easier to see. You can see the name, Times Sqaure, next to the billboard with the man in the white suit. To the left of that at street level is a pedstrain only section in Times Square.
It is two blocks long.

Across W 51st St from the hotel is Mars 2112 Restaurant. Inside, the below street-level dining takes you to another planet, martians, caves and all. Is that a flying saucer at the bottom of the steps?

This is looking down at W 51st St, where Wicked is showing.

Had we stayed one night longer, we could have seen ZZ Top and Aerosmith in concert at Madison Square Garden.

Looking down W 52nd St, towards the Hudson River, you can see how close Jersey Boys is to Novotel.

Walking in from the terrace, the lobby area.

Many tall, clear, thin cylinders of Stargazer Lilles in the lobby
